In the reality of Dea Noctu, there are four kinds of people; immortal vampires, demons with different abilities, ordinary humans and lastly the cybernetic angels, who were in fact once humans but have gone (or in most cases got pushed) beyond what anyone could call normal.

The story takes place in the city of Arcadia, known for it’s Demon Town, largest in Europe, it’s medieval Old Town and it’s close proximity to Cloud City Laboratories, a science company famed as the manufacturer of the angels.

And in Arcadia, Old Town to be precise, there’s an agency called Nocturne, run by the vampire Soukon, reputed in the Arcadia underworld as the person to go to when there’s something you need that no-one else can get.

Dea Noctu begins with Soukon, who, aided by the part-time sharpshooter Oni-chan, kidnaps and steals the wings of an angel. In the end of chapter 1, the angel, named Angelo by Soukon, is left with the choice to either return to Cloud City and uncertain fate or stay in Arcadia to work for Soukon… with equally uncertain fate.
